Privacy information

• Account details: your email address and display name.
• Learning preferences: levels, study schedule, time zone, furigana, audio and theme settings.
• Learning activity: lesson progress, flashcard reviews and schedules, quiz and exam answers and scores, bookmarks and achievements.
• Study time you spend in lessons, practice, reviews and exams.

Your data is used only to run the service: to save your progress, schedule reviews, generate your study plan and show your analytics.

Your learning data is private to your account and protected by row-level security in the database. Administrators of this deployment can manage accounts when necessary to operate the service.

If the AI assistant is enabled and you use it, the text you ask about (for example a Japanese sentence or grammar pattern) is sent to the configured AI provider to generate an explanation. Your name and email are not included. The service keeps a count of AI requests to apply fair-use limits.

To show prices in your currency (for example pesos in the Philippines), we look up the country of your IP address in a database stored on our own server. Only the country is used, only while showing the page, and it is never saved or shared.

Online payments are processed by PayMongo on their secure checkout page. We never see or store your card or e-wallet details. We keep a record of each order and payment (amount, date, payment reference and method) to manage your access and for accounting.

If you subscribe, we store your email address, when you signed up and when you confirmed. We only use it to send the newsletter. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we never sell or share the list.

Learners on the free plan may see sponsor messages. Paid and complimentary access is ad-free. We count how often a sponsor message is shown and clicked, without linking those counts to your account. Some links on Study resources are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission. The merchant's own privacy policy applies on their site.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Your theme choice is stored in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers.

You can update your profile and preferences at any time in Settings. To delete your account or export your data, contact the operator of this deployment.
